Renault has confirmed the new Kangoo van is priced from £17,650 and the E-Tech electric version costs from £26,500.

The all-new model can be specified in one of two lengths, while the specification is spread across two trim levels.

It is available with three front seats, with a central folding backrest that turns into a work surface, plus almost 60 litres of storage in the cab.

The medium-length (ML19) variant has a load volume of 3.3 cubic metres and a payload of 740-850Kg. The longer model (LL21) offers  load volume of up to 4.2 cubic metres and has a payload of 880-987Kg. LL21 models can be configured as a crew van.

The engine line-up for the Kangoo van consists of a 100PS petrol unit and a diesel with either 95 or 115PS.

The Kangoo E-Tech is equipped with a 45kWh battery and has a WLTP range of up to 186 miles. It offers a lower payload of 615Kg in all configurations.

It can be recharged by a 7.4 kW Wallbox in under seven hours, while rapid DC charging at up to 75kW can deliver an 80% charge in around 43 minutes. Recharging at a 22kW public charger from 15% to 80% takes 1.5 hours.

Every Kangoo van comes equipped with automatic headlights and wipers, a 3.5-inch TFT driver information display, DAB radio with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, electric front windows, air conditioning, heated and electrically-adjustable door mirrors, and a height-adjustable driver’s seat.

Fully electric Kangoo E-Tech models benefit from climate control, a heated front windscreen, heated seats, and ZE Voice.

Advance models include an eight-inch touchscreen with smartphone integration via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an electric parking brake, rear parking sensors, body-coloured door rails and a wide view mirror.

The Kangoo is available to pre-order now with official orders taken from September 1. First customer deliveries are expected in October.
