Vanarama has partnered with electric vehicle (EV) charging specialist Mina to offer a complete charging product for customers that lease electric vans.

The partnership builds on Vanarama’s existing offer to EV leasing customers, where any lease includes a free chargepoint installation at the customer's home.

By partnering with Mina, Vanarama customers can now also pay a fixed monthly fee for their EV home energy costs, and get access to thousands of public charging stations all on a single bill.

Chris Dalrymple, co-founder of Mina, said: “Through this partnership we’re offering a brilliant service to EV drivers, where they can pay a fixed monthly amount to get a shiny new EV on their driveway, and all the energy they need to keep the battery topped up. It’s brilliantly simple, and unique in the market.”

For launch, Mina are offering a promotion where EV drivers will power their vehicle at home for free for the first three months when they sign up to a 24 month subscription.

Paul Kirby, Vanarama’s head of electric vehicles, said “We are very excited by this offer and in particular how it makes it easier for our customers to move to Electric Cars and Vans. One of our core values is “If it’s right for our customers it is right for us” and this offer is fully aligned to this.”

Both companies believe that home charging is the easiest and greenest way of charging a company vehicle  as drivers can wake up each morning with a full battery. For EV drivers, the costs to charge the vehicle will be taken off the home energy bill, keeping home energy completely separate to vehicle charging, and there’s no need to switch energy suppliers.
