Kelly Fleet Services and Samsara have announced a partnership to deploy Samsara telematics across Kelly’s entire fleet.

The deal will equip Kelly’s 2,500 vans with Samsara’s vehicle gateways and internet-connected dual-facing dash cams. Samsara’s fleet management platform will enable Kelly to view its fleet in real-time, monitor fuel usage, and capture dash cam footage of harsh events - ultimately helping to improve fleet safety, efficiency, and customer service.

“We tested more than 20 telematics and dash cam systems and Samsara was the best,” said Larry McGrane, managing director of Kelly Fleet Services.

“Samsara’s integrated platform gives us the most accurate detailed vehicle and driver data and the company’s commitment to continued product innovation makes us incredibly excited for the future.”

A six time winner of Fleet News Awards, Kelly also chose Samsara for its robust safety offering.

Samsara’s safety solution combines HD footage and AI-powered reporting tools to

analyse incidents and provide powerful insights that reduce collisions, keep drivers safe, and lower accident-related costs.

“We are committed to achieving best practices in fleet safety,” said Clare Cain, senior insurance claims/driver risk manager at Kelly Fleet Services. “And we firmly believe Samsara will help take us to the next level of fleet safety.”

Kelly has already started to install Samsara’s vehicle gateways and cameras across its fleet. Samsara said its plug-and-play hardware seamlessly connects to the cloud making installation simple and straightforward, facilitating rapid roll-out.

“We’re excited to partner with Kelly Fleet Services,” said Nirav Patel, senior director of business operations, Europe. “Their commitment to safety, customer service, and operations is unparalleled and we see many opportunities for Samsara to drive real results in that effort.”

Samsara’s plug-and- play hardware and scalable cloud-based software are used by more than 5,000 customers worldwide, from emerging businesses to Fortune 500 enterprises.

The company was founded by Sanjit Biswas and John Bicket, co-founders of Meraki. Headquartered in San Francisco and London, Samsara has more than 500 employees.
