Independent Motor Auctions has expanded its fleet with an additional two DAF trucks and its fourth six-vehicle transporter.

The new truck was supplied by Imperial Trucks and the transporter unit from Belle Trailers.

The truck features a DAF FAR CF330 6x2 rigid chassis with a DAF Day cab, with a wheelbase of  5.90 metres. The truck has a Paccar MX11 litre engine, rated at 326 bhp with a Euro 6 rating.

Independent Motor Auctions’ managing director Justin Lane said: “Our expanding fleet of transporters will enable us to manage the sharp increase in vehicle volumes, thanks to our growing roster of customers.  

“We have seen a 20% year on year increase at our Leeds facility.

"Our six -strong fleet of transporters will enable us to collect cars and vans from across the UK.

“All the trucks have been purchased outright and represent a significant investment in our fleet, over £400,000 over the last six months.

“We now have six delivery vehicles in our fleet, ranging from one five-car transporter, four six-car transporters and a nine-car transporters, which service both our auction facilities at Leeds and Blackpool.

“The transporters enable us to collect vehicles quickly and efficiently for our daily auctions so we can offer buyers a great selection of cars and vans.

"We operate a maximum of 48 hour turn round which is one of the fastest in the auction industry.”
