BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions (BNP) has appointed Benoit LaFlamme to lead its commercial vehicle contract hire division.

The division has a focus on operating costs, vehicle uptime and compliance.

LaFlamme (pictured) said: “The business is onboarding new clients and has an ambitious growth plan in place.

"I am confident my previous experience in the contract hire sector and in business development will be invaluable to my new role.”

He joins BNP from Element Fleet Management in Paris, where he was employed as vice president, global business development, working closely with Europe and North America.

Prior to this, LaFlamme held the position of manager of client services at the same company, based in Montreal.

He has also had business development roles at Volvo Financial Services, GE Capital Solutions and GE Canada Equipment Financing.

In his new role, LaFlamme will be responsible for leading and focusing the business to continue to deliver the market-leading service it is known for.

He will also ensure the delivery of profitable growth by developing new service propositions such as total fleet management and introducing digital tools to give customers more insight and awareness about their fleet operations.

BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions’ chief executive Jean-Michel Boyer said: “Benoit has a proven track record in enhancing the customer experience through effective process improvement and strong leadership skills.

"These skills are of paramount importance to our successful future growth. It is my great pleasure to welcome Benoit to the business.”
