Bibby Distribution has appointed Marcus Torincsi as its continuous improvement director, a new boardroom role focused on enhancing customer service and maximising efficiency.

Torincsi (pictured) brings over two decades’ of experience and joins from Eddie Stobart, where he managed continuous improvement and network development programmes.

He will head up an 11-strong team and sit on the executive board, reporting to managing director Duncan Eyre.

Eyre said: “Our team already has a reputation for excellence and efficiency – and with Marcus at the helm we’re confident we will be able to build on that foundation.

We are excited about the ideas and experience he will bring to our business.”

A qualified industrial engineer and PRINCE2 practitioner, Torincsi studied Transport and Distribution at the University of Huddersfield.

After graduating, he spent 15 years at Asda’s transport and distribution division, working through many operational and support roles, before heading up its continuous improvement programme in distribution.

He then spent seven years at 2 Sisters Food Group managing various supply chain projects, before moving to Eddie Stobart.

Torincsi says: “I’ve joined Bibby Distribution because the company takes continuous improvement seriously.

"It’s rare for a 3PL to have a team like this in place, so it’s a chance to really raise service standards and set an example of excellence in the industry.”
