This year’s Fleet & Mobility Live will feature a special panel debate exploring what fleets can expect from the UK’s rapidly growing electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Free tickets are now available for fleet professionals to attend the UK’s leading fleet exhibition and seminar show, which is being held on October 3 & 4 at the NEC, Birmingham.

Melanie Shufflebotham, Zap Map’s co-founder and chief operating officer will set the scene for progress so far with the work being done to eliminate “charging anxiety” for EV drivers.

Shufflebotham will then be joined on the panel by Sara Sloman, Paythru chief strategy officer, Shamala Evans-Gadgil, EV infrastructure programme manager and consultant working on behalf of Coventry City Council, Chloe Hampton, CENEX EV infrastructure strategy consultant and Sean Keating, SMS plc product development director.

Stephen Briers, Fleet News group editor, said: “While fleets may have a mixture of workplace, depot and home chargers in place to support their EV drivers, it’s inevitable that most will need to use the UK’s public charging infrastructure at some point if they are making the switch to zero emissions driving.

“Key topics for the debate will include looking at progress so far with infrastructure rollout, the minimum standards for public infrastructure, the continuing debate on VAT rates for public charging, as well as looking at how the public and private sectors are working together to create solutions.”

This session is just one of 18 across the two day event, with more than 30 speakers and an exhibition hall packed with the latest electric vehicles and innovations from the UK’s leading fleet and mobility suppliers. The full agenda can be viewed online at: www.fleetandmobilitylive.com/2023-agenda
