A new yellow paper, designed to help fleets survive and thrive on their routes to alternative fuels amid political and economic change, has been launched by the AA’s business services division.

Collating guidance on key topics including taxation, electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, servicing and driver training, the AA’s third yellow paper of 2022 explores the current landscape, charting its impact on businesses, while establishing a road map to embracing the opportunities of transitioning ahead of the 2030 deadline.

James Starling, director of business services at the AA, said: “No business is making the transition to alternative fuels at the exact same point. However, wherever they are on their journey, we know all too well from speaking to our customers that they need guidance from a consistent, reliable voice amid today’s backdrop of constant change.

“Partnerships and collaboration are critical during times of transition. The yellow paper outlines the opportunities facing businesses as they make the switch, while arming them with the go-to insight they need to ensure a smooth transition to alternative fuels.”
