More than 250 new clients were signed by FleetCheck during 2022 – increasing the company’s total customer base by more than a fifth.

The total number of organisations using its core fleet management platform now exceeds 1,550, together operating more than 170,000 vehicles and associated assets.

Peter Golding, managing director, said: “2022 was a definite growth year for us. In addition to this wave of new signings, we have also seen a 40% rise in revenue and a 20% increase in our overall headcount.

“Really, we have been riding a wave since the start of the pandemic. Lockdowns brought home to many organisations the advantages of having a comprehensive fleet management system that can effectively handle key issues such as compliance with the option of remote access. We’ve been in a good position to meet rapidly changing fleet needs.

“There has never been a point during my time in the fleet sector when so many new demands have been placed on vehicle operators in such a short time, and we are working hard to keep pace through a programme of ongoing product development. The success we are seeing suggests that this strategy is working well.”

FleetCheck adopted a new corporate identity in October 2022 based around a new modern logo.

Golding added: “The new FleetCheck look represents this thinking and will soon be incorporated into all our activities, most notably as part of a refresh of our core system, which is being given a cleaner, fresher look over the coming months.”

Fleets need to take a strategic approach to fuel management and maintain cost control as pump prices begin to fall, according to FleetCheck.

Last year, FleetCheck reported that some vehicle leasing companies were refusing to extend maintenance packages when cars and vans were taken beyond their initial contract into a fourth or fifth year.
