Enterprise Rent-A-Car is opening a new flagship branch in Sheepscar, Leeds, which will be the company’s largest UK rental location.

The new branch will create 12 new jobs – including two management trainee positions – and will open in Summer 2021.

Enterprise says that the new branch will offer cars and vans, which can be hired by the day or longer. There will also be provision for Enterprise Car Club vehicles and electric vehicle charging points.

The site, spanning 42,688 square-ft, will be Enterprise’s largest branch in the UK and enables the company to relocate from a smaller neighbouring site and increase the range and number of vehicles it can offer.

It will feature an automated on-site car wash using the latest water recycling technology. The water recycling system will save on average 67 litres of water per wash, by ensuring the carwash collects run-off water which is then cleaned for re-use.

Enterprise is investing to regenerate the site and reducing flooding risk with a new water attenuation system. The technology will protect the site from flash flooding by storing and slowly releasing surface water run-off.

This is a key feature of sustainable drainage systems, it says, and slows down the rate at which surface water enters sewers or water courses and reduces the risk of flooding downstream.

Peter Cummins, group facilities and construction manager at Enterprise, said: “We are excited to announce our new flagship branch in Leeds.

“The first of its kind, the branch will be a key location for vehicle rental in the region, creating new job opportunities.

“We are delighted to be investing into the local area and continuing to play a part in the regeneration of the region. We are looking forward to welcoming customers and businesses when we open in summer next year. “

Sewell Construction has been appointed to build the three-storey facility on behalf of Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

The new branch will be located on Benson Street in Leeds.
