Nexus delivers record volume of rentals in a single day

Nexus Vehicle Rental delivered record results, facilitating more than 20,000 rental vehicles in operation on a single day.

Throughout the year and in the run-up to the festive period, Nexus says it has seen a rising demand in vehicle rental, especially from logistics businesses and couriers that need to scale-up their fleets to meet customer expectations.

Despite challenging supply conditions, Nexus says it has managed to fulfil most of the vehicle rental orders required by its clients.

Nexus operates a supply chain of 550,000 vehicles.

The Fleet Safety Academy teams up with Ctrack

The Fleet Safety Academy has teamed up with Ctrack by Inseego to provide risk management guidance and support to fleet operators.

Under the new partnership, Ctrack’s customers will be able to utilise the seven step Fleet Safety Programme, to help prevent collisions and reduce costs.

The online management system has a suite of downloadable and editable policies, procedures and templates that can be adapted to individual fleet and driver requirements.

Steve Thomas, managing director of Ctrack by Inseego, said: “We will offer the seven step Fleet Safety Programme as an added-value service as part of our customer commitment, throughout the duration of the contract, to help maximise return on investment.

TC Harrison Ford and BCA in two-year remarketing deal

TC Harrison Ford and BCA have agreed a two-year remarketing deal, that will deliver around 3,200 vehicles annually to BCA’s buyer base.

TC Harrison Ford vehicles are offered with a BCA Assured report and are pre-sale prepared. Most of the vehicles have the V5 and service history present and are provided with a warranted mileage. Older TC Harrison vehicles will be sold with a BCA Essential Check.

TC Harrison Ford operates a network of seven authorised Ford dealerships across four counties.

Engie expand EV charging network for Waverley Borough Council

Engie has announced it will expand its electric vehicle (EV) charging network for Waverley Borough Council, as part of the councils plans to reduce carbon emissions. 

Engie have already installed GeniePoint Network chargers across Waverley’s public car parks in Cranleigh, Godalming and Haslemere. Further chargers are scheduled to be installed in Farnham.

The chargers are 50kW+ chargers with three connectors – DC CCS, DC CHAdeMO and AC Type 2, which will charge any model of electric vehicle.

The chargers are accessed via the GeniePoint App, available from the App Store or Google Play, or by RFID card.

Streamax Technology secures video telematics deal with VisionTrack

Mobile video surveillance company, Streamax Technology, has secured a multi-million-pound order from VisionTrack.

Streamax will supply VisionTrack 27,000 connected 4G vehicle cameras and mobile DVRs, representing its single largest European order to date.

VisionTrack’s platform, Autonomise.ai, connects directly with Streamax’s products without the need of a third-party API or middleware software.

As part of the partnership, Streamax will provide VisionTrack with a customised solution, which includes hardware and firmware features.

Richard Lane, commercial director at VisionTrack, said: “This latest deal is an important part of our growth strategy, which is targeting 100,000 connected video telematics devices in 2021.”
