Innovation Automotive has been appointed as the official UK distributor for the Seres and Skywell car brands.

The business, which trades as IA Electric Vehicles, currently offers the DFSK compact electric van. It expects to launch the two new brands in the second quarter of the year.

Seres is a sister brand to China's Dongfeng Motor (DFSK). The first model to launch in the UK will be the Seres 3 electric SUV (pictured above). It will be priced from less than £30,000 and will go on sale in April.

Skywell is a Chinese car manufacturer and is one of the world’s fastest-growing automotive brands. Set to launch in the summer, the Skywell ET5 is a premium mid-size SUV with a range of 304 miles (WLTP).

Both brands are highly respected around the world and their technology, comfort and refinement are a perfect match for the UK marketplace."

IA Electric Vehicles is looking to establish a franchise dealer network in the UK to sell the new vehicles.
