Logistics UK has announced the winners of its annual Van Awards 2022 awards, celebrating operators that have made a “significant contribution” to the industry over the past 12 months.

Judges at the awards said they were impressed by the Hero of the Year winner, Nathan White, lead driver at Sciensus, following an act of selflessness in a dangerous situation at the scene of a fatal road traffic incident.

White witnessed the collision take place and in the face of oncoming motorway traffic, left his vehicle and rescued a stricken driver, pulling them to safety moments before another vehicle crashed into the injured person’s already overturned vehicle.

All winners of the Van Awards will be shortlisted for the Van Business of the Year category at Logistics UK’s Logistics Awards 2022, which will take place on Thursday December 8, 2022, at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London.

Kevin Green, director at Logistics UK, said: “To be announced as a Logistics UK Van Awards winner is a tremendous accomplishment.

“Van operators play a crucial role in the logistics industry and wider UK economy, and Logistics UK is thrilled to recognise and celebrate the dedicated businesses and individuals within this vital sector.
