Commercial vehicle rental and sales company, MV Commercial, has expanded its offering by investing in a new £3 million van centre.

The new 1.5-acre site on Houstoun Industrial Estate in Livingston, is located just off J3 on the M8 in the central Scottish belt and hosts a range of vehicles including standard panel vans, Lutons, dropsiders, and welfare units, as well as a select stock of dry freight units.

On-site facilities include a valet marquee, wash bay and main office complex.

The centre is situated 30-minutes from MV Commercial’s central hub in Airdrie, giving access to the company’s 90,000 square foot of internal workspace, finance, maintenance, engineering, fabrication, and painting facilities.

Steve Cairns, managing director at MV Commercial, said: “Traditionally, MV Commercial has specialised in the supply of HGVs, including bespoke units and crane trucks.

“However, we have seen increased demand for vans and LCVs from both our existing and new customer base grow over the last 12 months and ensuring customers had access to them became more important than ever.

“Whilst this expansion further extends our core vehicle provision capabilities our ethos remains the same and that is delivering cost-effective solutions for our customers’ vehicle needs.

“All of our late registered vehicles come directly from our vast existing hire fleet and have all been maintained by our in-house service and support teams, thereby ensuring we are providing customers with the highest possible quality.”

In 2018, MV Commercial launched MV Asset Finance, to provide flexible funding packages for businesses looking to invest in new premium trucks.

The expansion is expected to create 12 new jobs in the area and follows a period of continued growth, said MV Commercial.
