Saturn EV is offering a new compact electric city van, priced from £16,975 (ex VAT).

The new two-seater promises low running costs of less than 2.5p per mile.

Available as a box style van or flatbed pick-up, the Saturn City Van has a payload of up to 500Kg.

The box van has a square load space with no intrusions, measuring 2270mm long x 1400mm wide x 1520mm high.

The load space on the flatbed truck is a similar 2260mm long x 1400mm wide with a side surround of 400mm high and a drop-down tailgate at the rear and the sides can also be dropped.

A range of 65-125 miles is possible, dependent upon payload, usage and battery size.

Top speed is limited to 50mph, which the manufacturer says is generally more than sufficient for town, city and site use.

The vehicles can be charged from a standard electric vehicle charging point or mains supply in 6-10 hours.
