Fraikin has published an executive summary of the Government’s Clean Air Strategy 2018, highlighting key information and calling for fleet operators to take part in the consultation process.

Available to download from www.fraikin.co.uk/cleanair, it packages essential information from the Department for Environment Food & Rural Affairs’ (DEFRA) long-awaited consultation document (published in May 2018), which sets out the Government’s stall for what must happen to improve UK air quality.

James Walker, commercial director of Fraikin, explained: “The road transport industry is undergoing transformational changes around vehicle emission standards and what becomes law will depend on what comes out of this consultation process.

“We’ve prepared this summary to help fleet operators keep informed on the relevant topics from the 104-page white paper. It also encourages businesses to contribute to the debate over air quality and emissions by responding to the DEFRA consultation.”

Fraikin is offering alternative fuels and future vehicle drivetrains in conjunction with a suite of connected technologies being developed to support customers in making the technology transfer from diesel to gas and electric drivelines.

DEFRA’s consultation period runs until 14 August 2018.
