Auto Windscreens and BVRLA, the trade body for the vehicle rental and leasing industry, are joining forces for the CV Show this week at the NEC (April 24-26).

The two organisations will be represented on stand 4G50.

BVRLA director of member services, Nora Leggett said: “We are delighted to be attending this year’s CV show alongside Auto Windscreens, with whom we enjoy a valued relationship as an Associate Member. We look forward to attending the show and would invite members to stop buy and say hello.”

Rupert Armitage (pictured), Auto Windscreens’ managing director, said: “We are proud to be a member of the BVRLA and look forward to partnering with them on our stand at the show.

“We are both dedicated to maintaining high industry standards and best practice. For us, the latter is particularly important when it comes to the recalibration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) following a windscreen replacement.”

Its team will look to educate event attendees on the need to have manufacturer-backed ADAS recalibration after a windscreen is replaced to ensure complete fleet safety and protection of vehicle warranty.

“It is important that fleets understand the liability and safety risks that could occur if recalibration of these technologies is not carried out properly,” added Rupert.

“By working directly with manufacturers, we can, not-only, recalibrate any marque, we can promise our customers that they will leave with vehicles that have fully-functioning technology and correctly aligned sensors. This is something aftermarket products may not necessarily be able to guarantee.”

Auto Windscreens is seeing a sharp increase in the demand for its ADAS recalibration service and earlier this month slashed its fleet rates for this by 12%, making it the cheapest nationally.
