Volkswagen van centre builds new partnership with Humac Civil Engineering

handshake between two executives

A Hull van business has struck a deal with a nationwide civil engineering firm providing 56 vehicles over the next 12 months.

JCT 600 Hull Van Centre, based at Priory Park West in the city, secured the partnership with Humac Civil Engineering that will see the firm purchase the vehicles – 31 of them being Caddy Maxi Kombis.

Predominantly a ground works contractor, Humac Civil Engineering provides a range of solutions to the building and construction industry. As a company, it delivers tailor-made services for clients that require groundworks, road and sewer works, structural concreting, site clearance and land remediation.

The new vehicles have been supplied to create a package that meets Humac’s exact budget needs. The vehicles have been ordered in Volkswagen’s distinctive Chestnut Brown which matches Humac’s own corporate colours and fitted with a partition guard behind the second row of seats and ply lining in the load area.

Beryl Carney, head of Volkswagen commercial vehicles at JCT 600 said: “We’re delighted to strike a deal with Humac Civil Engineering which is not only a boost to the JCT 600 Hull Van Centre but also to the Humberside and Yorkshire area.

“Having an agreement of this size with a company like Humac goes to show the reputation of our business and we were only too happy to provide a bespoke level of service that meets the company’s desires.

“The team have worked hard to secure the fleet of vehicles and we hope this will be the start of a long-lasting relationship with Humac.”

Adrian McDonald, director at Humac Civil Engineering added: “The Volkswagen Caddy offers us the ideal crew vehicle for our business needs.

“Not only do they allow us to transport our crews around in comfort, but also deliver excellent whole life costs to help reduce monthly fleet costs. This combined with the Caddy’s excellent reliability and vehicle build quality has helped to reduce any costly downtime and expensive repair bills.

“The team at the JCT600 Hull Van Centre worked in partnership with us to not only deliver a fleet of vans that meet our exact business requirements, but also ensured that the right aftersales support was given to keep our business on the move and reduce ongoing fleet costs.”

The Caddy features the latest safety technology as standard to help protect the vehicles occupants should a collision occur and also include BlueMotion Technology as standard.
