OnTruck is celebrating its 1,000th shipment since expanding into the UK last year, putting it “on target” for 2018 expansion goals.

OnTruck, founded in Madrid in 2016, opened its London-based operations in September 2017 marking its first international operation.

The company has completed more than 80,000 loaded miles, shipping palletised goods for manufacturers, retailers and freight forwarders via a base of more than 200 carriers.

OnTruck’s chief executive and co-founder Íñigo Juantegui said: "In 2017, we consolidated OnTruck’s position in Spain, where we already handle more than 5,000 consignments a month, and took the important step of expanding into the UK, one of Europe’s biggest road freight markets.

“We’re very encouraged by the positive response in the UK, which confirms that the road freight industry has been waiting for the price transparency and convenience that OnTruck offers.”

OnTruck has reported that it is on track to expand and achieve full national coverage in 2018.

Leading the UK expansion is country managing director David Jennison. He said: "London and the South East were the natural entry point for OnTruck in the UK.

“The excellent response we’ve had to date creates a strong platform for us to drive further growth."
