BT Fleet Solutions has “responded to the needs of its customers” by opening a HGV garage in the city of Cardiff.

The new HGV capability has been added to the Cardiff garage by refitting another BT building

BT Fleet Solutions’ managing director Henry Brace said: “The investment in HGV capabilities at Cardiff is one of many ways we are listening to our customers and making changes to provide a more comprehensive service.

“Our customers want as many of their vehicles as possible to be maintained in a Fleet Solutions garage and I am proud that today, around 80% of our customers’ vehicles pass through our garages.

“However, we want to increase this number and be a one-stop-shop for fleets comprised of varying vehicles.

"Opening this HGV garage in Cardiff increases our capability for customers such as Wales and West Utilities, enabling us to bring the full Fleet Solutions service to them.”

Located in Coryton, the garage is easily accessed via the M4, providing easy transport links to the rural area and further afield across Wales – a factor that was important for Wales & West Utilities.

Wales & West Utilities’ transport manager Andy Pettiford said: “Wales & West Utilities relies on the company to provide fleet management and maintenance across Wales and the South West of England.

“Cardiff is a particularly busy area for us – this workshop looks after nearly 150 of our vans and adding the new capability to look after our trucks too is great for us.”

Fleet Solutions is planning further site updates across its network of 64 garages and will be upskilling technicians as its vehicle maintenance and repair products develop.
