Teletrac Navman has launched its new connected product, Director for Transport, specifically designed to meet the varying requirements of transport companies in the UK.

The connected solution brings together, for the first time, the tools every transport company needs to streamline their operation and remain compliant.

Director for Transport includes Teletrac Navman’s new tachograph software, which allows fleet operators to take the hassle out of tachograph, with instantly accessible data.

Fleet managers can remotely download drivers’ hours and receive customisable reports, including rest breaks and live status changes, enabling fleets to stay compliant and safeguard their operation licences. The software can pull data from existing or OEM tachograph products installed in vehicles, for seamless integration.

Director for Transport also lets fleet managers monitor driver behaviour, including harsh braking, acceleration and cornering, and which can then be addressed by managers to improve performance. It can also monitor MPG, allowing fleet managers to assess any vehicle which may be facing issues such as tyre pressure and mechanical problems.

A 360-degree safety camera solution can also be provided, with tailored options depending on individual needs. The integrated camera solution shows real time alerts when a driving event happens to pinpoint exactly when to view the camera footage, which can also improve driver performance.

Fleet managers can see instantly who is behind the wheel with Driver ID, so you can pinpoint their exact location, which is complemented by an instant messaging and navigation tool for drivers via an in-cab device.

Teletrac Navman Drive has customised navigation for HGVs, as well as the ability to reroute drivers from the back office. From the same screen, fleet managers can send instant pop-up messages directly to drivers, including rest alerts and reminders to keep your drivers’ hours fully monitored.

Peter Millichap, UK marketing director at Teletrac Navman, said: “We’re really pleased to bring this exceptional telematics solution to market, as it will allow transport businesses to meet compliance standards and provide customers with an end-to-end overview of their fleet.

“The product solutions enable businesses to tackle a number of key challenges, such as logistics, driver safety, fuel efficiency and time pressures.

“The Director for Transport solution was specifically built with UK Transport fleet professionals in mind, allowing them to streamline all of their operational needs.”
