O'Donovan Waste Disposal wins commercial vehicle management award

O'Donovan Waste Disposal has been named winner of the commercial vehicle management award at the Fleet Hero awards for the third year in a row.

The award was made in recognition of the company's Greener Vision Strategy, which in a twelve month period from 2014 to 2015, has resulted in a reduction of CO2 per kilometre travelled by 21.5 per cent and an increase in kilometres per litre of fuel used by 27.5 per cent.

Managing director Jacqueline O’Donovan said: “As a waste company, we recognise that we are at the ‘dirty end’ of logistics, which is why we work harder to achieve our successes and continue to improve our safe, green and efficient credentials and reduce our environmental impact. To be pitted against two huge brands, Carlsberg and TNT in this category, collecting the award for the third year running is an amazing recognition of all of the hard work by the entire O’Donovan team.”
