McBurney Transport has invested in 12 new tractor units for its 300-strong fleet.

The group, founded in 1965 by current managing director Norman McBurney has grown substantially to become one of Ireland’s largest independently run logistics operations.

It offers a range of transportation and warehousing services to its customers across Northern Ireland and the UK mainland, Republic of Ireland and Europe.

MAN Truck & Bus UK has been part of the McBurney business for the last decade and the purchase of 12 new vehicles has further strengthened the relationship.

Brian Beattie of RK Trucks Belfast, said: “It is a pleasure to supply the 12 MAN TGX tractor units to McBurney, especially as the firm celebrates its golden anniversary.

“The firm is well established and it is great to know the MAN trucks are playing an important part in the extensive McBurney fleet and helping to deliver top-class service.”

McBurney added: “We have included MAN vehicles in our fleet for the last 10 years.

“They have proved to be fuel efficient and cost effective to our business and the reliable servicing plan is an added attraction our business.”
