Shell Fleet Solutions is joining forces with telematics provider Levl to help fleets gain greater insight into their operations and inform their decarbonisation strategies.

Recognising that effective fleet management requires access to fresh and granular data, the pair say that the deal will make it easier for fleet managers to identify issues quickly and effectively, and optimise their fleet’s management.

Euan Moir, head of Shell Fleet Solutions UK, says the business is committed to providing its customers with everything they need to keep fleet management as “simple and smart as possible”.

“We know how important insights are to help fleet decision-makers uncover relevant and actionable insights that can inform their business decisions,” he added.

“That is why we're delighted to be joining forces with Levl, to provide our customers an even more seamless and advanced data analytics system that supports their fleet management goals - whether that's driving their decarbonisation strategy or identifying operational opportunities.”

By combining the two companies’ expertise, Shell Fleet Solutions says that fleets will have access to a “cost-effective" integrated platform that combines vehicle and fuel/EV card analytics.

Furthermore, it says that fleets will gain greater insights into drivers’ behaviour, highlighting potential risks that can be addressed to help keep drivers safe.

Andrew Pearce, sales and marketing director at Levl, the largest Geotab reseller in the UK, explained: “This collaboration is more than just a merging of technologies; it represents a forward-looking approach to addressing the challenges of modern fleet operations.

“By integrating Levl's advanced telematics with Shell's comprehensive fleet insights, we are setting a new standard for operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability in the fleet industry.

“Our joint solution is designed to empower fleet managers with actionable data, enabling them to make informed decisions that drive their businesses forward while supporting decarbonisation strategies.”

He added: “We look forward to working closely with Shell to continue pushing the boundaries of what's possible in fleet management, always with an eye towards the future needs of our customers and the planet.”
