The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has announced the appointment of Marian Kitson as its new director of enforcement.

Formerly an assistant director for HMRC Compliance group, Kitson will take up the position on September 10.

She said: “I can’t wait to get started and get to know all the important work our dedicated staff do to protect people from unsafe drivers and vehicles.”

DVSA’s chief executive Gareth Llewellyn said: “DVSA’s priority is to protect everyone from unsafe drivers and vehicles.

"Marian has spent much of her career with HMRC where she has led customer compliance teams across the UK.”
