A new senior executive team has been appointed at truck and rigid leasing provider Axis Fleet Management to help continue the company’s growth.

New managing director Mick Ledden (pictured), who previously worked at Aggreko and Lavendon, joins Axis after being recruited by Andrew Palmer, former chief executive, who has recently stepped down.

The other appointments are sales director Neil Kinnear, formerly of DHL UK Freight, and operations director Bob Fraser, who joins from DX Freight.

Axis Fleet Management chairman Robert Montague said: “We now have an experienced team in place across all areas of the business.

“Their skills will be vital as we look to further establish Axis Fleet Management as one of the leading contract hire organisations in the UK.

“We are looking to expand our customer base which already includes a number of the UK’s top 100 logistics companies.

“We are confident that the expertise of our team in this sector, along with our continued focus on providing cutting edge telematics and technology, will provide the platform for the company’s future success.”

Ledden said: “I’m delighted to have joined an established company with a track record of delivering a high quality service to its customers. I would like to thank Andrew on behalf the Axis team and wish him well in the future.

"The future is very exciting, we have a great vision and the team to make it happen.”
