Zeekr, part of the Geely Holding Group, has released details of its X fully-electric urban compact luxury SUV.

The car, which is being launched in Europe although there is no confirmed date or pricing for the UK yet, will be fitted with a 69kWh lithium-ion battery, which can deliver a range of up to 278 miles.

Complementing the 150kW DC charging, which can replenish the battery from 0-80% in less than half-an-hour, the standard 22kW AC on-board charger can fully charge the battery from empty in four hours.

Zeekr also says the X features technology usually only found in larger vehicles, such as an augmented reality head-up display, a 5G entertainment system and massage seats trimmed in sustainable PU fabrics.

Its 8.8-inch HD instrument cluster and ‘floating’ 14.6-inch HD touchscreen are matched up to a 24.3-inch augmented reality head-up display.

Standard on all models, the AR-HUD can project graphics on to the windscreen which overlays objects in the view ahead, such as navigation instructions or ADAS system warnings.

It will have the capability to park itself, which the dual-motor, all-wheel drive Privilege model’s 428PS motor gives it a 0-62mph acceleration time of 3.8 seconds.

Zeekr partners with Plugsurfing to provide its European customers with a tailor-made public EV charging service, Zeekr Charge.

With this service, the Zeekr X drivers have access to over 550,000 charge points in 27 European countries, can find chargers that best suit their needs, and instantly pay for their charging, regardless of who owns and operates these charge points.

Pricing for the Zeekr X starts at 44,990 euros (£39,000) in the Netherlands and Germany.
