Kia has confirmed pricing for the new Picanto, which is available to order now.

Priced for the overhauled city car start from £15,595.

The Picanto has a bold new look. It has been re-styled to mimic the appearance of Kia's latest EV9 model.

A distinctive light signature is achieved through new vertically stacked headlights that meet with a new grille. Lower down, the bumper is more aggressive than before and incorporates multiple vents to give a sportier look.

The rear lights and tailgate have also been re-designed to create a full width light unit.

The car is offered in four trim grades: 2, 3, GT Line and GT Line S.

Powertrain choice is also restricted to just two units. There's a 1.0-litre and a 1.2-litre, both are naturally aspirated and paired with a five speed manual gearbox. An automated manual transmission is optionally available.

Kia claims both are optimised for emissions and efficiency.

The new Picanto comes with an 8.0-inch ‘floating’ touchscreen navigation system and a 4.2-inch digital display in the driver's instrument cluster as standard. The vehicle’s infotainment system features Bluetooth multi-connection, meaning users can pair up to two mobile devices at the same time – one for hands-free phone and media use, and the other for media use only. The system features both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Standard equipment across the range includes alloy wheels, air conditioning, rear parking sensors and a reversing camera.

Sitting just above the Picanto ‘2, GT-Line comes with GT Line styling, 16-inch GT Line alloy wheels, LED headlights, electric folding door mirrors and rear privacy glass.

Picanto 3 reverts to similar exterior styling as the 2, however it sits higher in the model line-up than GT-Line models. It adds keyless entry, heated front seats and steering wheel, climate control and a wireless phone charging pad to the equipement list.

Range topping GT Line S features the same sporty styling details as the GT Line and gains a sunroof, customisable ambient lighting and blind spot monitoring.

GT Line S models are also equipped with Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 1.5 (FCA) with vehicle, cyclist, and pedestrian detection. This function includes Junction Turning: If a risk of collision arises while turning right at a junction, the function automatically assists with emergency braking.
