Tesla has introduced a new variant of the Model 3, specifically for fleet customers.

Available exclusively through the brands B2B channels, the single-motor Long Range RWD joins the line-up with a WLTP range of 394 miles.

The new derivative is priced at £46,990 and comes equipped with a heat-pump, Autopilot and a series of active safety features such as Automatic Emergency Braking and Lane Departure Avoidance. 

Tesla’s senior key account manager in the UK, Karen Bowen, said: "To accelerate the electrification of Europe's B2B fleet, we are introducing a new Model 3 variant that caters to the needs of our commercial customers. Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive combines a segment-leading range with highest charging convenience, at an entry-level price point."

Tesla offers the Model 3 in entry-level Standard Range guise for £42,990. Using a 57.5kWh battery, and a single-motor, it provides a range of 305 miles (WLTP).

The Model 3 Long Range AWD, priced at £50,990, uses a 75kWh battery and two electric motors. It has a range of 374 miles.

The Model 3 Performance uses the same twin-motor configuration, but develops more power and can achieve 340 miles between charges.

With 394 miles of range, the new Model 3 Long Range RWD is the most capable in the line-up.

Bowen added: "Its long range capabilities combined with access to Tesla’s Supercharger network provide peace of mind for the most intensive and demanding fleet users.

Model 3 Long Range RWD deliveries will commence in June.
