The Peugeot e-308 will have a range of up to 248 miles, when it arrives in the UK next summer.

Both hatchback and estate versions of the new electric model will be offered, bolstering the existing 308 line-up.

Peugeot has confirmed the e-308 will be fitted with an all-new 54kWh battery, which will power a 156PS electric motor.

An electric version of the Vauxhall Astra, using the same powertrain, will also launch next year. They'll be the first Stellantis vehicles to utlise the new setup.

An on-board three-phase 11 kW charger is provided with the car as standard, the car also supports 100kW rapid charging, which will power the battery from 20-80% in less than 25 minutes.

The introduction of the new Peugeot e-308 and e-308 SW are the latest development in the brand’s aim to offer every vehicle in its line-up with an electrified variant by 2025. The new models will be available in the UK from the second half of 2023.

The Peugeot 308 was named Best Lower Medium Car at the 2022 Fleet News Awards.
