Toyota’s Camry went go on sale in the UK on April 1, with prices starting from £29,995.

The range will be powered by a 2.5-litre hybrid powertrain, which delivers 215PS with CO2 emissions from 98g/km to 101g/km according to model grade.

Official combined fuel economy (WLTP data) ranges from 50.5 to 53.3mpg.

Annual benefit-in-kind tax bills will start from around £1,400 for a 20% taxpayer.

Camry will be available in two equipment grades, Design and Excel.

Design comes as standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, LED headlights, air-conditioning, smart entry and push-button start, front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera, heated and power-adjustable front seats, seven-inch TFT multi-information display, and Toyota Touch 2 multimedia system with seven-inch touchscreen, navigation, Bluetooth and digital radio.

It also features a number of Toyota Safety Sense active safety systems, including pre-collision safety system with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert, road sign assist and automatic high beam.

Excel trim adds 18-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lights, LED dual-beam projector headlights, blind spot monitor and rear cross traffic alert, wireless charging tray and lane change assist. Its on-the road price starts at £31,295.

Customer deliveries will begin from July 1.
