Skoda has expanded the Kodiaq range with a new range-topping Laurin & Klement version and a new engine.

The L&K features a chrome grille, LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels and modified front and rear bumpers. Inside it boasts leather upholstery and piano-black trim.

A 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine with 150PS joins the line-up, alongside a more powerful 190PS version of the existing 2.0 TSI.

The new petrol drivetrains feature particulate filters to reduce particulate emissions. This will be available for all equipment versions of the Kodiaq in future.

A 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine with 150PS or 190PS completes the L&K’s engine range.

The two strongest engines come with all-wheel-drive as standard, and it is available as an option for the other two. The all-wheel-drive variants also have Adaptive Chassis Control (DCC) as an option.

Full UK pricing and specification is yet to be confirmed but the new model is expected to build on the SE L specification, adding an electrically adjustable driver's seat including memory function, aluminium pedals, textile floor mats, a rain sensor, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, ambient lighting and the CANTON sound system.
