New for 2016?

Graeme Jenkins, national corporate sales manager at Maserati, is focusing the brand’s effort on the new Levante luxury SUV, which is on sale now, with first UK deliveries of the models are expected in October.

What are your hopes for 2016?

“It's a significant moment for Maserati in the UK. There is natural high demand for luxury SUV’s in this market – 49% of sales in the luxury market are SUV.

“We’re now able to compete in all segments of the luxury market,” said Jenkins.

Fleet and corporate now accounts for around 50% of Maserati sales in the UK, from an almost standing start three years ago, when the brand launched the diesel Ghibli.

“We’re now in a position that around 800 cars a year are fleet and business, and these are all new customers that have been attracted to the brand.

“The residuals have held strong, but the remarketing is now crucial."

As Levante hits UK shores later this year, Jenkins says his focus is to ensure the brand does not lose sight of high standards of customer service as volumes grow – the new car is expected to see 1500 registrations due in 2017, it's first full year.

What new initiatives are you introducing for fleets?

“It is important to ensure we get the cars back into the dealer network, as SME demand for used cars is proving strong.

“We’re working with leasing companies to connect them with our network.”

That dealer network currently stands at 19, with 1-2 more expected to join this year.
