6 Ford Ranger

Ford has expanded the model line-up for its new Ranger pick-up with prices starting at £27,550 (ex VAT).

The Ranger can now be specified in one of four trim levels and as a Single Cab, Double Cab or Chassis Cab.

Entry level Ranger XL variants can be had in all three body types and are powered by a 2.0-litre 170PS diesel engine and are equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox. Prices for the Single Cab start at £28,275 (ex VAT), while the Double Cab costs from £29,800 (ex VAT).

Standard equipment includes a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, lane keep assist, rear view camera and parking sensors.

XLT (and above) can only be specified as a double cab. This grade includes air conditioning, tyre pressure monitoring, alloy wheels and body-coloured bumpers. It uses the same powertrain as the XL and is priced from £31,150 (ex VAT).

The Ranger Wildtrack is available with a more powerful Bi-Turbo 205PS 2.0-litre diesel engine and a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine. Both are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Prices start at £39,350 (ex VAT) for the 205PS Ranger Wiltrack and £42,350 (ex VAT) for the 240PS V6 version.

The Wildtrack is equipped with a 12-inch infotainment display, electrically adjustable and heated front seats, leather upholstery, adaptive cruise control and keyless entry.

Range-topping Platinum grade is priced from £44,400 (ex VAT) and mated exclusively with the V6 engine. It features 20-inch alloy wheels, matrix LED healights, a cooling function for the front seats, B&O speaker system, 360-degree camera and a power inverter.

All models have four-wheel-drive and a payload of more than 1,000Kg.
