Daf Trucks has announced it is adding new functionality to the online Daf Connect fleet management platform.

A new feature within the Daf Connect Portal is the webshop which allows transport operators to manage Daf Connect subscriptions. Contracts can be extended with additional services online, says Daf.

Jorg Wijnands, manager marketing at Daf Connect, said: “The webshop makes managing subscriptions very easy. The online dashboard shows at a glance which applications are available for purchase or extension.”

Daf said another enhancement is of the Daf Connect Open Platform, which now supports integration with third party fleet management systems and transport management systems.

The Daf Connect Open Platform also enables third party fleet management suppliers to retrieve data directly from Connect.

This feature reduces the amount of hardware modules in the vehicle and enables plug-and-play integration which reduces the total cost of ownership for our customers, says Daf.

In 2020, Daf launched its Daf Connect App to help drivers enhance the fuel efficiency of their vehicles via their mobile phone.

Wijnands said: “The DAF Connect Open Platform is the best flexible solution for hardware integration of professional transport solutions.”
