Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has delivered four more Crafter vans to the national engineering business United Plant, extending its total fleet to 32 Volkswagen vehicles.

United Plant provides asset management, engineering services and heavy mobile equipment (HME) to the quarry and waste industry.

The company added 28 Volkswagen vans to its fleet in 2018, including Crafter, Transporter and Caddy models. Four more joined last year.

Greg Mulhearn, managing director of United Plant, said: “I have been extremely impressed with the standard of our Volkswagen vans. 

“It was vital that we could have significant input into the specification of the vans to ensure that they met our specific needs.

“The safety record along with reliability and flexible servicing options were also key reason for us choosing Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.”

All the new vans are fitted with bespoke solutions, including racking, livery and safety features.

Safety solutions including; 360-degree live CCTV recording, LED warning light systems and a cycle turning warning alert were fitted by Spillard Safety Systems.
