Ryder honours its class of 2019

Ryder’s class of 2019 all celebrated the completion of its Trainee Technician Graduation Awards in Birmingham this week.

The provider of commercial vehicle contract hire, rental and maintenance services, has seen its apprenticeship programme bring graduates through for 25 years.

The class of 2019 celebrated at the Trainee Technician Graduation presentation at the Brooklands Motor Museum. Graduates brought their families and mentors along.

Location managers, senior operations managers, leadership members and HR staff also attended.

Catherine Steel, Ryder HR director, said: "Ryder values the outstanding contribution our people make to the business.

“When those contributions turn into outstanding achievements, we celebrate those moments of excellence.

“The outstanding achievements of our Trainees reinforce the importance of our Apprenticeship Programme.

“It is absolutely critical to the ongoing success of our business in an industry facing increasing shortages of those with the right technical skills for the future."

The company celebrated its 25-year milestone by inviting past graduates, who joined together to show what the Ryder Apprenticeship led them to in their careers.

Awards were presented to the graduates by David Hunt, Ryder vice president and Mark Carlin, Ryder general manager.

The accolade of ‘Technician of the Programme 2019’ award went to Jamie Stanfield, who received a £1,000 cheque for his yearly success.
