Castle Minibus and BT Fleet Solutions have partnered to improve the safety of school vehicles across the UK.

As part of the new contract BT Fleet Solutions will provide over 10,000 safety inspections, pre-MOT checks and MOT collect-and-returns across the UK for Castle Minibus, utilising BT Fleet Solutions’  mobile engineers.

Castle Minibus’s managing director Chris Maynard said: “Schools operating under a Section 19 Permit are required to have 10-week safety inspections for vehicles under 12 years old, every six weeks for older vehicles, as well as MOTs and regular servicing, so it’s imperative we have a dependable partner that can deliver these inspections on-site and within the required time-scales.

“We are very pleased to be working with BT Fleet Solutions who is able to deliver the 10,000+ visits a year needed to help our schools keep their minibuses compliant and their staff and precious cargo safe.”

For the Castle Minibus fleet now under BT Fleet Solutions’ care this will mean improved safety, better compliance reporting and reduced vehicle off the road time (VoR).

BT Fleet Solutions’ managing director Henry Brace said: “It is fantastic to be working with Castle Minibus, who are one of the UK’s market leaders in the education sector. We are proud to be providing a service to improve the safety and compliance of the UK’s school vehicles.”
