X-Ray Transport Management Services cuts driver infringements with TruTac

X-Ray Transport Management Services has seen a reduction in driver infringements and an increase in analysis management since its customers signed up for TruTac's compliance control software.

Seventy five of the commercial transport consultant's 500-plus customers are using TruTac's compliance control software.

Software modules such as the TruChecks app, enable remote defect reporting for drivers when completing daily walk-round checks.

This information is immediately downloaded to the system, thereby enabling any defects to be recorded and dealt with. Furthermore, all records are available for any subsequent DVSA inspections or audits.

According to X-Ray, the most common reason for operators to be penalised is through ‘failure to notify’ – whereby operators fail to inform the Traffic Commissioner regarding changes in management, maintenance schedules, convictions etc. After this, the second biggest operator misdemeanour is failing to accurately or regularly report vehicle defects.
