ProVision to demonstrate new accident reporting CameraMatics app at CV Show

ProVision CameraMatics app

ProVision will be demonstrating its new accident reporting and checks management app, designed for commercial vehicle fleet managers, at the CV Show.

Demonstrations will be available on ProVision’s stand at the CV Show, and the app is expected to be available as part of an initial controlled release to the market in early May.

CameraMatics can be used as a standalone product or in conjunction with ProVision’s Cloud Connected Plan.

ProVision’s managing director Mervyn O’Callaghan said: “Integrating seamlessly into ProVision’s current risk management portal, information on the fleet’s status can be instantly accessed at any time and anywhere thanks to cloud-based connectivity,”

“This new app will help fleet managers to supplement data collection by making it easier for drivers to complete important checks.

“Information from vehicle walk around checks and accident reports are entered digitally and instantly relayed to the fleet manager.

"This removes the need for paper-based checks, while drivers can feel confident that vehicle faults and issues have been properly recorded and shared with management.”

The checks management capability of the app allows data to be gathered and stored, and enables the user to recall and codify specific details during a review or following an incident.

Fleet managers can create their own checklists to the specific requirements of the fleet, and will be notified if one of their vehicles does not meet mandatory checks.

Specific requirements for accreditation schemes such as FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) can also be added to the checklist.

The accident reporting section walks the driver through the critical information (photo and video) that needs to be recorded using a step by step process.

Drivers can record third-party witness and police information, and pinpoint specific footage recorded by the in-vehicle cameras.

It can be uploaded and stored in ProVision’s cloud-based command centre, or even forwarded to insurance companies.

O’Callaghan said: “We are looking forward to demonstrating the two parts of this app to delegates at the CV Show as we continue to build the remit of services and solutions that ProVision offers.

"Providing risk and compliance solutions is crucial for not only for achieving safer fleets, but also for helping operators manage business effectively.”
