Drug and alcohol testing provider Screen4 has become a Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) associate.

FORS, the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme, has over 85 Associates many of whom provide offers and discounts for FORS members.

Screen4 has occupational health technicians stationed around the UK and is able to provide on-site health checks including hearing, eyesight, lung function and blood pressure testing.

Routine screening ensures that drivers are fit to work, and that their ability to do their job will not be affected by an underlying medical condition, so improving the safety of the public.

Paul Wilkes, business services manager at FORS, said: “We are pleased to welcome Screen4 on board as a FORS associate and appreciate the valuable service it provides to fleets wishing to improve operations and driver safety.

"Health screening is an important issue for our members, which is why we include certain requirements in the FORS Standard, including health confirmations. We look forward to seeing more fleets take advantage of this fantastic service.”

Screen4 currently has around 50 technicians in the UK, available 24/7 for onsite testing, aiming to be with a client within two hours for urgent requests and checks.

By collecting samples including urine, saliva, and breath analysis, the company can assure operators that drivers are safe to work, or in the event of a non-negative test can send out for further evaluation.

The team provide routine screening for new drivers as well as regular spot tests on sites.
