Brake has announced that FORS will be a supporting sponsor of its 2016 Fleet Safety awards. The ceremony takes place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on Thursday 29 September 2016.

Brake’s Fleet Safety Awards recognise the achievements of organisations and individuals working to reduce the number of crashes involving at-work drivers.

FORS, the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme, is a voluntary accreditation scheme encompassing road safety, fuel efficiency, vehicle emissions and improved operations.

FORS is supporting the Fleet Safety Awards as an ideal opportunity to share and celebrate road safety best practice in the fleet industry, an aim that it shares with Brake.

Ellie Pearson, professional engagement manager at Brake, says: “It is incredibly exciting for us to partner with such a prominent organisation whose values mirror Brake’s own so closely.

“The Fleet Safety Awards is Brake’s flagship fleet safety event, and provides an ideal opportunity for industry professionals to network and share best practice. If you’d like to attend this year’s ceremony, book your place early to avoid disappointment.”

Anne Johnson, Operations Director at FORS, says: “The management of work related road safety is at the heart of the FORS Standard, and as such we stand four-square with Brake. FORS members are working hard to reduce collisions in their own fleets and throughout their supply chains and we look forward to celebrating everybody’s great achievements at the awards.”
