Allstar Business Solutions has announced its latest strategic partnership with Charge My Street joining its EV network, bolstering its network with a further 110-plus chargers across more than 50 locations.

Charge My Street is a social enterprise that installs and operates public electric vehicle (EV) charge points funded by community investment.

It aims to solve a major barrier to entry for EV users that do not have off-street parking by installing public charge points throughout residential areas and is working to ensure that EV drivers are no more than a five-minute walk from the nearest charge point.

Allstar customers are now able to recharge company vehicles at any of its 110-plus chargers using Allstar One Electric.

It means Allstar’s overall network size, now standing at more than 7,400 charge points across more than 2,700 locations, is one of the largest EV recharging networks in the UK for fleets.

Tom Rowlands, managing director of Global EV Solutions at Allstar Business Solutions, said: “Ensuring that all Fleet drivers have the opportunity to transition to EVs is critical. That is why it’s so important that we consider all drivers’ needs and any barriers to entry that they may have.

“Working through how we can better support all drivers and fleets to ensure a frictionless and successful transition to EVs is our priority.

“That’s why it’s so important to join forces with the likes of Charge My Street, which will provide a convenient solution for those drivers that cannot have their own residential charge point.”

Daniel Heery, director of Charge My Street, added: “We are delighted to partner with Allstar, supporting the UK’s businesses in recharging their EVs at home even when there is not an off-street solution available.

“Our goal is for every home to be within a five-minute walk of a charge point as we firmly believe in making EVs accessible for everyone.”
