Red Driver Training has chosen the new Volkswagen Polo Life for its franchisees.

The roll out across Red Driver Training’s fleet began at the end of June, with an initial 700 franchisee vehicles.

They will gradually be rolled out across the full fleet over a two-year purchasing cycle.

The fleet will eventually consist of around 1,300 Polos, making Red the operator of the largest fleet of Polo Life models in the UK.

Fitted with all the required specialist advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS), and the latest HMI technology, Red says that the Polo is the perfect model to support learners as they grow in confidence on the road.

Seb Goldin, CEO of Red Driver Training, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Volkswagen to transform our learner fleet to the new Polo Life model.

“We always want to ensure our instructors are well equipped with high quality, reliable cars, so this partnership feels like a natural fit.

“The Polo Life incorporates specialist advanced driving assistance systems providing learners with experience using things like lane assist, and adaptive cruise control – both of which will prepare them well for their future life on the roads.

“We look forward to seeing growing numbers of instructors and learners in the Polo soon.”

Matthew Hattersley, national fleet sales manager at Volkswagen UK, said: “It’s fantastic that a driving school of Red’s size will be adopting the Polo as its chosen learner vehicle.

“As a popular first car for new drivers, we’re confident that the model will be well received by learners and instructors alike.

“The ADAS features of the Polo Life will also help set new learners up for their future out on the roads.

“The industry is currently embracing new technologies and advancements which this model embraces in a user-friendly way.”
