Nissan Motor GB (NMGB) has announced changes to its senior management team, including the appointment of Nicolas Verneuil, as its new sales director, following three years as NMGB marketing director.

With 15 years’ experience at Nissan, Verneuil also has experience in international, regional and local experience in customer and dealer-facing roles, as well as sales performance management and dealer marketing.

He said: “With our brand’s renewed vitality and the recently announced transformational Nissan NEXT mid-term plan, this is a great opportunity to lead the sales team at NMGB.

"Nissan already has a proven track record in electric vehicles and crossovers, which we will build on with an exciting product plan for the coming years. I look forward to working in partnership with our dealer network, fleet partners and customers across the value chain to capitalise on these opportunities."

 

Taking over the marketing director role will be Nicholas Thomas, who has been with Nissan for eight years and returns to the UK from Japan, where he led Nissan’s Global EV Business and the worldwide launch of LEAF. 

Thomas spent his early years in dealer network development and aftersales, focussing on product marketing, including as head of marketing operations. Thomas returns to the UK to prepare for Nissan’s new wave of products.

He said: "I am delighted to return to my home market and join a successful team at this exciting time for Nissan.

"With momentum gathering around the successful Juke launch, the new Ariya electric crossover being unveiled imminently, and a new Qashqai just around the corner, Nissan is perfectly positioned to meet customer demands."

PSA Group appoints David March as new network development director

PSA Group has appointed David March as its new network development director.

March will be responsible for the development of the representation of the four group Brands in the UK (Vauxhall, Peugeot, Citroën and DS Automobiles) and their networks’ performance.

March has been with PSA Group for nearly 25 years and trained originally as an accountant. His career within the group includes regional management, franchising, fleet operations and over 10 years with the UK retail group Robins & Day, of which two years were as general manager of the Coventry Peugeot businesses.

He said: "I fully understand the retail side of our business and the evolution that our retailer network is now facing especially as that is accelerated post-COVID.

Wincanton strengthens business development team with three new appointments

Wincanton, has announced three senior appointments to the business development team.

The appointments, which are effective immediately, have been made to drive transformational growth in Wincanton’s core and selected markets.

They are as follows:

Martin Dougherty is appointed business development director. He has over 30 years’ experience in sales leadership in the logistics industry.

Dougherty's most recent role was as VP business development in DHL supply chain, where he led their new business growth agenda. Dougherty has extensive experience in the deployment of end to end supply solutions with a strong background within inbound to manufacturing.

Kate Jones is appointed head of development for consumer. She has worked across a broad range of sectors including technology, public sector, retail and consumer.

Prior to joining Wincanton, Jones was responsible for defining and leading DHL supply chain’s UK and Ireland network sales team. Jones' strong delivery resulted in her being awarded the DHL Employee of the Year Award in 2018.

Andrew Turner is appointed head of development for home and eFulfilment. He has worked in transport, logistics and supply chain since 2002.

Turner joins Wincanton from Yodel where he held the position of head of new business development. Previously, Turner worked for XPO Logistics in senior commercial and new business roles, leading multiple new business wins in the retail sector and eCommerce service lines.

V4B appoints Jason Reynolds as new managing director

V4B has appointed Jason Reynolds as its new managing director,

The vehicle leasing broker says the appointment of Reynolds will help the business take another step forward and submerge the brand in an expanding and changing market.

Reynold's began his career aged 17 at a Ford dealership locating stock deals for the business, he then gained experience at Nationwide Vehicle Contracts and moved on to sales manager at Central Contracts of Stoke, where he helped expand sales within the business to some 5,000 plus units.

Airmox Remote appoints Nickie Hunt-Mason as sales and marketing director

Nickie Hunt-Mason has joined Airmax Remote as its new sales and marketing direcor as part of the company’s growth strategy to meet its targets and obtain increased market share focusing on the emergency services sector, leasing companies and direct corporate fleets.

Parcelhub appoints Steve Marjoram as new managing director

Whistl has announced that Steve Marjoram has become the new managing director at Parcelhub.

Previously, Marjoram served as finance director at the company for four years and suceeds Mark Rosenberg, who has moved to an advisory role until the end of the year.
