Teletrac Navman has launched a new fleet compliance checklist in partnership with Fleet Check, to help fleet managers keep their vehicles road legal.

The checklist covers driver training, behaviour and fleet management, and includes questions to help identify gaps in training and accountability, on the road behaviour and the regularity of safety inspections, it said.

The online assessment takes five minutes to complete and provides an instant score for fleet managers once each of the 26 questions are answered.

Fleet managers can access the checklist immediately and calculate their fleet safety score using the following link: https://www.teletracnavman.co.uk/resources/resource-library/reports/the-2020-fleet-checklist

With the intricacies of new legislation more challenging to understand and adhere to, having complete visibility over vehicle location, driver behaviour and vehicle health continues to be essential for fleet managers, says Teletrac Navman.

Peter Millichap, director of marketing at Teletrac Navman, explained: “Being in the dark with your fleet, drivers and legislation can have severe complications for fleet operators.

“We hope this check list will serve as an advantage, making the operation easier and more efficient to manage, particularly during these challenging times when operators need additional support to help keep the country moving.

“Our partnership with Fleet Check is a welcome support tool for fleet managers, ensuring they are well-informed of all the key areas they need to consider when it comes to fleet compliance, and that their drivers are even more considered before joining the road as well.”

Teletrac Navman and Fleet Check are also encouraging fleet managers to share their results online with them on Twitter, Linkedin or Facebook.
