Enterprise Rent-A-Car will operate Enterprise car club vehicles at its new branch in Fratton, Portsmouth.

The addition of car club vehicles at this new, bigger branch, will help to meet a growing need for ‘on demand’ vehicle rental, from both businesses in the area and local residents looking to rent vans, it said.

The new facility features four Enterprise car club bays for customers who want to access a vehicle 24/7, 365 days of the year.

Customers will also be able to rent an expanded range of vehicles from the Fratton branch on a daily basis, including a wider range of commercial vehicles and tailgate lift vans for the first time.

While the branch is already open seven days a week, customers can now also access the new Enterprise car club vehicles around the clock, booking and opening the vehicles with a mobile app, even when the branch is closed.

Paul Smith, general manager of Enterprise Rent-A-Car South Central England, said: “Our new facility is designed to give customers the opportunity to choose the right vehicle for their needs, and to access it whenever they need it.

“Both businesses and local residents are increasingly using car rental and car clubs to meet their mobility needs.

“We’re finding that our vans are really popular with local residents for house moves, or when they need a larger vehicle to their own.

“Local businesses want to offer employees more flexible ways of staying mobile when they need to travel for business. That’s when services like Enterprise Car Club can be really effective, as you can pick up a car at any time, even if the branch is closed.”

In addition to renting vehicles in Portsmouth, Enterprise car club members can also access its network of 1,100 vehicles parked on streets in more than 30 major towns and cities.
