Volvo Car UK has made its first UK fleet delivery of the new V90 premium estate, with an 11-car handover at Ping Europe’s Gainsborough head office.

Replacing Ping’s current fleet of V70s, the V90s will be used by the firm’s field sales team, who regularly travel the length and breadth of the UK.

Pete Brown, UK sales manager, Ping Europe, said: “Ping Europe has had a relationship with Volvo for 19 years and while we’ve tried other manufacturers for our fleet, we’ve always come back to Volvo due to its safety, build quality, technology and comfort credentials. In fact, we had so much trust in Volvo’s capabilities following years of continuous high levels of satisfaction, all 11 of our V90s were ordered pre-launch, before driving or even seeing the finished product.

“Having recently driven the V90 however, I can say it was more than what we expected and it certainly exceeded all of our high expectations. While delivering the functional practicalities of an estate, including great cargo and storage solutions, the new V90 takes a clear, premium step forward in terms of aesthetics, the advanced safety features available as standard and its versatility.”

Jeanette Griggs, regional business sales manager, Volvo Car UK, added: “The V90 has built on Volvo’s indisputable heritage in the estate segment, delivering one of its most eagerly anticipated and most advanced models to date.

“Its stylish, sleek look, cutting-edge semi-autonomous drive technology and safety package makes the V90 stand out from the rest and is the perfect fit for the Ping team.”

The car handover was supported by Stoneacre Grimsby.
