South Staffs Hire, trading as SSH Selfdrive, has adopted epyx’s 1link Disposal Network.

The Stafford and Telford based company will be disposing of a wide range of models through the platform - including small and large cars, MPVs, minibuses, Transits, Lutons, dropsides and tippers.

Director Paul Graham explained: “We operate a variety of different replacement cycles and the vehicles we are selling vary from anywhere from 12 months old to around two-and-a-half years.

“Before adopting 1link Disposal Network, we were using a variety of methods, from local traders to auctions and even eBay.

“What the new processes available in the platform have given us is much greater control over disposal, allowing us to speed up time to sale and also to achieve better values. It’s very impressive.”

South Staffs Hire was founded 10 years ago and now covers Shrewsbury, Stafford, Stoke On Trent and Telford from its branches in Stafford and Telford.

Graham said: “Our customer base varies from private individual to local businesses to major blue chip companies and we pride ourselves on our outstanding level of service.”

David Goodyear, commercial director at epyx, said: “We have a growing number of rental companies of all sizes, such as SSH, using 1link Disposal Network and achieving very good results.

“Currently, overall, we are achieving a better sale price performance compared to CAP than other channels and also reducing the days taken to sale dramatically.”

1link Disposal Network is used by fleets to manage online the selling of defleet stock to traders and dealers through a wide variety of channels including online and auctions.
