Nineteen Spire dealerships and service centres have adopted DCM Connected following a successful trial of its insurance and telematics based software.

The software, which allows fleet and lease managers to track their vehicles, monitor how they are being driven and provide streamlined customer service, is being implemented across all of Spire’s sites.

DCM Connected software also allows accidents to be effectively reconstructed by recreating the moments before and after a collision.

During its trial, a Spire courtesy car was involved in a reported accident, but DCM Connected was able to establish that the vehicle was not in the stated location at the time of the alleged incident. The claim was later dismissed as fraudulent.

The dealership group, which covers North London, Hertfordshire and Essex, works with a wide range of prestigious brands including BMW, Audi and Jaguar and now combines its DCML Dealer Car Manager software with the DCM Connected solution.

Carl Thompson, divisional brand director of Spire Automotive, said “This innovative system really gives us full control over all of our fleets, it has demonstrated false claims and helped overcome them.

"It is superfast at locating vehicles and has genuinely enhanced our utilisations across the group.”
